Good news for the adventure and travel lover and individuals of Uttarakhand too! The Government of Uttarakhand has decided to develop 13 new tourist destinations to increase tourism in the Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat is very active in exploring new tourist spots of the state under a campaign.
Support for the project will be offered by Shanghai-based New Development Bank which has decided to provide financial assistance of INR 1,200 crore to the Government of Uttarakhand. Also, the Central Government has given authorization for the loan.
Now, the Uttarakhand government has qualified 13 new locations for the growth of new tourist hotspots under its ’13 district-13 destination ‘scheme. Under this project, a district will get a new tourist attraction.
According to reports, the state government will soon confirm an official agreement with the Shanghai-based bank if all goes well. Work will begin at these 13 places only after official agreement. Dilip Javalkar, Secretary of Information and Civil Aviation, told in a function that the helicopter facility between Chinyalisaur and Gauchar will start from Dehradun this month.
So far, the administration is busy making budgets to develop new tourist destinations. Given the geographical location of Uttarakhand, the expansion of new airports is being given much importance which will help to promote air connectivity and increase tourism in the state of Uttarakhand. So far, the new airstrip at Chaukhutia, Srinagar, and Pabo is underway with the expansion of Pantnagar Airport.

Munsiyari in Pithoragarh district,
Kausani in Bageshwar, Katarmal in Almora,
Mukteshwar in Nainital,
Lohaghat in Champawat,
Parag Farm in Udham Singh Nagar,
Chopta in Rudraprayag,
Tehri lake in Tehri,
Khirsu of Pauri district,
Chinyalisaur of Uttarkashi,
Gairsain-Auli of Chamoli, Chakrata in Dehradun, and Piran Kaliyar and Shaktipeeth in Haridwar district.
