Under the 38H Wildlife Protection Act 1972, the Nainital zoo has been upgraded from the category of the small zoo to the category of Small zoo. The name of this zoo is Govind Vallabh Pant zoo. It is located only 1 kilometer from zoo Nainital Bus Stop. The zoo is home to a variety of animals including Himalayan black bears such as monkeys, Siberian tigers, leopards, wolves, palm civet cats, rose ring parakeets, silver pheasants, mountain foxes, sambar, goral and deer.

The Padmayaju Naidu Himalaya Zoo

The Padmayaju Naidu Himalaya Zoo in Darjeeling is famous for its garden, especially the red panda. It is the highest zoo in India, built at an altitude of 7000 feet. Apart from the red panda, you will find many rare species of animals such as Siberian tiger, the mountain goat. Here you will also find birds of various species. Many beautiful birds like Rose Ring Para Keats and Hill Minas live here.
