Recently, the University of Warwick conducted research on about 34 thousand people living in polluted and non-polluted areas of England. All those involved in the study had to undergo the word memorization test. In this test, 10 words were given to everyone to remember. Also, other factors that affect memory, such as age, health, level of education, ethnicity, family, and employment status were also taken into consideration. The study revealed that increasing levels of nitrogen dioxide and PM10 present in air/air are affecting memory. There was a difference of about ten years in the memory of a person living in more air pollution than a person living in less polluted air. That is, the memory of a 40-year-old person living in polluted areas was found to be equal to a 50-year-old person living in less polluted areas.

Air pollution is also the reason for the increase in global warming because the temperature of the atmosphere is increasing due to the increase in the level of greenhouse gases.
